![]() I have a Sony Walkman NW-HD5 and just love the old thing. It has 20G storage, great sound, a replaceable battery, and is damn near bulletproof. I still have and use my NW-HD5, shame about the crappy SonicStage software. Anyhow this link may be of use to you. An alternative to SonicStage, I've used MP3 file manager to transfer from PC to player and it works well. Quote, originally posted by ATL_Av8r ยป Haven't used my NW-S205F in years, but I remember when i did, I had to use this crappy SonicStage software or something from Sony. I have a MacBook now, but don't really want to install this bloated whale on my Parallels. Google only turned up people bitching about the SonicStage software I want to start using this again because I don't want to bring my iPod to the place I work. Does anybody have this, or any other Sony Walkman product using other software?? I don't know how old your sony is, but my Sony Walkman NW-HD5 only ran with SonicStage until Sony released a drag and drop program. It won't work with OSX - but is such a small program that it won't run poorly on parallel (that's my guess anyways). My current sony walkman NWZ-A829 is an MTP/UMS device. ![]() I drag and drop, but the file transfer rate is USB 1.1 slow. I've reverted back to a 4G iPod. Hope this helps. I love Sony Hardware, but hated their software. Crush gear anime download. Modified by SuperGroove at 12:50 PM 7-27-2009.
